Family Adventure @ Yvonne’s Nest, Puerto Princesa

It’s the long weekend, and the Montilla family definitely did not hold back when it comes to family adventures in Puerto Princesa!

There’s so much to find and new hidden places to discover in the City. And this holiday, we are in for a treat with this 5-star rating blog for Yvonne’s Nest Pool Resort.

For every review of our visits, we always look for three (3) important things as a standard:

More than just a holiday, this visit is a celebration of Papa’s 70th Birthday. A treat from the family, we get to celebrate this wonderful occasion in a beautiful place and have a great holiday together.

And obviously, everyone had a great time!

Services

So, Yvonne’s Nest offers exclusive party accommodations, room and pool rentals, and even a free customized photo booth.

But what’s so great about their services are the package deals that not a lot of resorts here in Puerto Princesa offers. The range varies according to your wants but one thing we know is they’re worth every penny.

Location

Behind the resort is a vast and empty parcel of land previously used for salt farming. We weren’t able to ask what’s it for now but regardless the view is superb and just as stunning.

They have a small fish pond just behind the reception hall where you can catch your own. Though not much luck for us since we didn’t get to catch one. But it was still fun!

This awesome place is located within the City so it’ll just be 15-20 minutes of travel from the city proper.

It’s 300 meters from the highway so you would need to go a bit further into the small road before reaching the place. You don’t have to worry about directions at all since there are road signs pointing you to the location and Mr. Google is there to help you as well.

15+15 Party Deal (Package Review)

This package costs around Php15,000.00 and covers up to thirty guests, to which half of them are granted an overnight stay. You can add another Php5,000.00 if you wish to have more guests or a free cake and balloon set up.

Oh, and they have karaoke!

The food tastes as well and perfect for 30 guests in total. I didn’t get to take a picture of the lovely breakfast but it’s just as good.

We checked in at 4:00 p.m. and checked out the next day at 11:00 a.m. with free use of the pool and party hall and a free breakfast on the 2nd day.

Pool & Accommodation

The natually-designed pool is stunning and really good for swimming and soaking…whatever you like. It’s around 5 deep with three steps (still underwater) surrounding the deepest end. So it’s basically kids-friendly and the water can get warm in the evening for that relaxing night swim.

The pool closes at 10:00 p.m. so if you want a night out with your friends, make sure to come in earlier in the day to get the most of your visit.

Our package covers three family rooms: (1) Kapatid, (2) Kapamilya, and (3) Kapuso. Each room varies in their accommodation, with around 6 persons for Kapuso and 8-10 persons for Kapatid and Kapamilya rooms. All of them are air-conditioned, of course.

It’s perfect for family staycations or a large group of friends hanging out for the night. Just look how much the kids enjoy their night.

Customized Photo Frame

They also give you a free customized photo frame that suits your event. Yvonne’s Nest provided us a beautiful painting of gumamela flowers and a birthday label on the bottom.

This is such a wonderful treat from Yvonne’s Nest and everyone loved it!

Easter Egg Hunting

It’s also nice that they hosted an egg hunting activity for the kids this Easter holiday. The kids had a great time painting eggs and searching for them on the next day. We really felt the Easter holiday because of it. So, thanks Yvonne’s Nest!
