Puerto Princesa is getting back on its feet and we are on the foodventure haul again! As usual, we are looking for the best finds there is…one that has:
- delicious food we could eat
- best service and location
- cheap prices that are definitely budget-friendly
There a lot of restaurants and dining places you could go to in Puerto Princesa and here is one of the best picks we found!

So, the korean barbecue trend is still in its peak here in the City and our dear friend, Hazzel, loves every bit of it and it’s not obvious but it’s her favorite. What best way can we bond together than going out to eat…and with the generous invite from our dearest friends (Paul, Arjay, Hazzel and Jhanine), we had a wonderful time at the Samgyup Bay Restaurant at the Puerto Princesa City Baywalk.

It’s one of the many restaurants you can go to in the infamous Puerto Princesa Baylwak and it doesn’t disappoint. Here’s why.
Our Food Experience
Like your usual korean barbecue restaurant, we get to order unlimited sets of samgyupsal. It’s perfect for hangouts with your friends or even just a get-together after a long day’s work, which we definitely did.

They have a lot of options to choose from but are mainly ordered according to the meat you will be picking. So, the price varies from P449 to P620 and it depends if you want it to be an unlimited order of sides or just the regular set for a quick eat-out.
They have Unli 1 for Pork and Unli 2 for all Pork, Beef and Chicken, plus they have a variety of sauced meat to pick. What we love about this place is that you get to have unlimited order just for P449! I mean, that’s a real deal you got there. But, of course, that’s just the meat. And, no, they’re not going to get all your money coz’ even for the sides, you get to have the unlimited add on of banchan or sides for only P150! So, in total, you will be spending at least P600. But trust me, it’s all worth it!

Services
Like what you guys see in the picture, Samgyup Bay offers a lot of services. They have really amazing staff who gives you your order right away. You don’t have to keep calling them like we usually do in our regular restaurants. You, instead, push this button, which is like a doorbell, that will notify the staff that you need to order something.

Though from our experience, I felt bad coz we’re a bunch of hungry young adults who kept finishing our food and asking for more. But the staff are super nice and let us have the time of our life. I give them 5 stars for that.
But of course, part of the services are some policies you should definitely follow:
Order Quantity and Take Out Policy
So, just to be clear, the order quantity is 2 plates of meat and 5 sides or banchan at a time. They have a STRICTLY NO TAKE OUT POLICY but if you really want to take leftover food home, you will have to pay P300 per pax.
Unli Policy
You will also have to order the same unlimited course in only one table and you can’t eat alone. I mean, they have 2 diners minimum policy. What can you say? This is a hangout place after all.

But what we really want you to know are their policies that are going to make you feel that you have the treat of the year:
Children Rate
Okay, when I say that this is super great for family meals as well, I’m totally not kidding. Especially if you have your little ones ready to eat their samgyupsal.
They have a Children Rate where kids below 3ft can eat for free and kids below 4ft are charged half the price! This is legit and it’s really nice to know that kids still can have their share of free food since, you know, they eat less and probably won’t really eat that much in unlimited restaurants. But, then again, good food for free is a really great deal, right?
Discount
But lastly is the thing we always look out for, the discounts! This is a must in the Philippines and all restaurants probably have to deal with a lot of our hungry seniors but hey! Our elder people really deserve it.
Samgyup Bay has a Senior Citizen and PWD discount of 20%, though this only applies to the regular price which is P620. So, like I said, if you want a quick eat-out especially with your amazing grandparents, etc. you can have them try samgyupsal.
Location
Samgyup Bay Cafe is just right in the middle of the Puerto Princesa Baywalk, right along the food court.
It’s open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM and can accommodate at least 10 people in a table. But since it’s pretty popular during these days, you should probably get there much earlier before getting packed up with diners waiting to get their own tables.

Puerto Princesa City Baywalk, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines 5300
Hours: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Couple Adventure
So, all in all, we give them 4 stars for our review. This is a total treat that you should try and definitely bring your family and friends with you. It’s super fun and filling and you’re definitely gonna get your money worth spending.
If you have the chance to visit the place, make sure to share your review and let’s talk about it!
