Another foodventure post from yours truly and we are so excited to give our four-star review! For this post, we celebrated a very special birthday of our dearest Jhiro and had a great time at one of the best eat-outs in the City – Ka Joel’s Restaurant.

Of course, we would love to give our credit to Ate Jhona and Kuya Jigs for the treat and for taking us to experience Ka Joel’s. Here are our takeaways from our nice family dinner.

One thing we loved about the place is it’s super cozy and really fits that Filipino traditional vibe from the inside out. The ambiance really gives out that homey feeling and every corner is an instragammable location you could pick out for groufies or selfies.

Like the traditional way of entering Filipino homes, Ka Joel’s requires you to remove your footwear and place it on their shoe racks just before your go in. No worries about your feet getting dirty coz the floor is clean enough to walk on even up to their comfort rooms.

Our Food Experience

As to our food experience, we first thought it would be a fine dining restaurant but it’s not…and that’s what makes it even cozier. Though we really can’t say that it’s a budget-friendly one.

They offer Filipino dishes which vary in size and have set menus that can accommodate around 8 to 10 people in one order. We had Sinigang na Baboy and Kare-Kare for main along with Pork Liempo and Pansit. We also had Kamote for dessert. They are all simply delicious and great for dinner meals.

Of course, the prices are a bit higher and we really don’t consider them as cheap and budget-friendly but the visit and meal there was worth it. Thank you so much ate Jhona and kuya Jigs for this!

Services

The staff there were also really great and their services are up top! You won’t get a better experience in any restaurant without the best smiles you can receive from the people running the place. And as for Ka Joel’s, they have an amazing staff that deserve the praise.

Instagrammable Location

Like I said earlier, the atmosphere is nice, with lots of well-done woodwork, and their decors are super artsy in their use of different unique elements…even the comfort room looks comfy and instagrammable!

All around, this place is worth a visit. The food and service are great but we just wished the menu had a bit more flair and depth and we could have some more budget-friendly orders to pick. But then again, you’re not only eating at Ka Joel’s Restaurant. You’re also paying for the experience! So if you’re looking for an Instagram-worthy place, this is your place to go. Would certainly recommend it.
