10 Fun and Wholesome Activities For Your Date

Dating, according to Mr. Google, is that stage of romantic relationships where two individuals engage in an activity together, most often with the intention of evaluating each other’s suitability as a partner in a future intimate relationship.

Though everything is possible when it comes to dating, the activities done are crucial to the development of your relationship with your special someone.

I still remember the time when Gerson and I would go out on dates and try to figure out what activities we could do that could help us get to know each other better. Honestly, it wasn’t even that hard to find dating ideas and there are so many things you could do!

Whether it’d be a romantic dinner or a walk down the beach, you can always find the perfect wholesome activity for anything. Here’s a list of 10 Fun and Wholesome Activities For Your Date:

1. Eat A Meal Together

Eating meals together, or even just a snack, is absolute perfection especially when you are both Food Lovers. You don’t have to pick a really fancy and expensive restaurant. A simple meal or snack in a budget-friendly place is good enough.

2. Play Your Favorite Outdoor Games

According to studies, playing together helps couples develop friendship, commitment, and relationship satisfaction. So if you’re planning on developing those feelings, make sure to try inviting your partner to play games with you. Be it a sport that you like or childhood games that you used to play. You have so many options!

3. Play Indoor Games

If you or your date are not the outdoor type, you can always go for indoor activities like board games. You can choose any game that suits your taste like cards, puzzles, scavenger hunts, or even try a new edition board game for a twist.

4. Go To The Park

Now, outdoor type or not, beautiful sceneries and a bit of fresh air are things you don’t take for granted. Natural parks and outdoor spaces are perfect for a more relaxed and less stressful date. Everything around you is a conversation starter. You can talk openly side by side while walking and you can decide to cut it short or go as long as you like. Plus, it’s free! You don’t have to spend anything (unless you decide to extend the date for some tasty food).

5. Visit the Zoo or Garden

For our first date, Gerson and I went to the Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center. It was definitely the perfect choice because we really hit it off. Everywhere we look, there’s something we can talk about and connect to our likes, dislikes, and all things about ourselves.

So, based on experience, I really recommend going to where nature is. Just something about mother nature that makes your date more romantic and fun.

DATING TIP
When planning, you can always ask your date where they wanted to go or (if they can’t make a choice) ask them what place they haven’t visited for a long time. Not only does it show respect to your date but also opens up topics of conversation, another way of getting to know each other even before you go out on a date.
You will have, of course, different preferences. But that’s the beauty of dating, you get to know what he/she likes and the same goes for you. It’s always a win-win situation.

6. Go For A Picnic

Okay, now we’re on to romantic dates. This a classic date that proves how it isn’t about fancy and expensive outings that you should think about when getting to know your partner. Pack some food and a blanket and make your way to the beach or the park to have an awesome time together. This is perfect for sunny days and definitely, a romantic date you will never forget!

7. Hit The Beach

Something about the cold breeze and the sun kissing your skin with your loved one really gets the butterflies to flutter. If the beach is your preferred location for a date, you can always bring your partner there! It doesn’t have to be a picnic. You can just stroll down the beach and talk about things. Nature does amazing things to our minds and body so you can never go wrong with this kind of date.

8. Sing Your Hearts Out

When they say music is the universal language, they’re definitely right!

Karaoke nights or acoustic get-togethers are the perfect icebreakers on any date. Singer or not, it’s always great to see your date in her musical side and have an amazing and fun time together. This is also a great way to know each other’s favorite music and genre which will definitely be a huge part of your relationship.

The bottom line, a fun and wholesome date will always depend on you. It is how you will show your respect and interest in your date that will make the conversation and activity a perfect get-together for the both of you.

Whatever location or theme you go for, you can always have your greatest enjoyment from the conversation and simple activities. Getting to know him/her better and sharing interests can be a great step in developing a strong foundation in your relationship.

But then again, a little effort goes a long way. What do you think of our tips?
